Ho`omana for Thanksgiving

WHERE DID IT GO??? Thanksgiving is upon us, and I’m sitting here thinking that it simply cannot already be the end of November. But you know…. every day I check my calendar I find that I’ve lost another day.

The good news about this is that it brings our friends from Ho`omana closer and closer. This week they will likely be one person short, as Uncle Manley often takes a family vacation at Thanksgiving. That simply means that brothers Robert and Eddy will have to sing that much louder. I can go for that.

Being now finished with their new CD and awaiting its being mastered, and all the myriad of other things which must be done, but don’t require the guys participation, they simply have only to wait —- and gig as much as possible to pay for all those little pieces of plastic. Well, I’m happy to announce that we get them the day after Thanksgiving when we ALL should be in that state of grace and gratitude – as well as being overfed.

Almost every time they appear on the stage at Pono and The Reef, they have some new twist, or feature to share with us. It may be Robert’s beautiful daughters and friends who have come to share some hulas, or perhaps it’s another “new” song to add to their repertoire Or it may be the presence of dancers from one of the local Santa Cruz or Sunnyvale halau willing to add their talent to the mix. Often Robert tells me what to expect, but this time he hasn’t done that so I will be waiting, just like you guys, to see what new is going to happen.

So, please join me for this Day After Thanksgiving to give our thanks to Ho`omana for all the JOY they have brought us, with a donation of any size at the door as we enter. And be sure to let your friends know where you well be so that we can all be together.
