Yaay, Aldon is on his way back to Pono. It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen and heard him – since June 16th, in fact. How did it become such a long drought, I wonder. Everything got crazy busy this past summer, and there are others that I’m afraid we are missing as well. I guess it’s good to be busy, but I hate losing contact with folks.
In the case of Aldon and his lovely wife Kaye, that will all be corrected this next Aloha Friday. There has been a bit of a scarcity of `ukulele at Pono this year, so Aldon’s return is much appreciated. I hope that many can come out to hear the variety of tunes and songs he plays – from the classics to hulas, and contemporary and some country. In fact, there is little that he doesn’t play.
Aldon’s wife, Kaye will likely dance a hula or two if we can rip her away from grading school papers of her students. I’m glad that my teachers weren’t so conscientous about papers and exams, otherwise, I might not have graduated. So, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Prunedale, Sunnyvale, and all points nearby, come on down to Pono prepred to share a dance or 3. And as you know there will be no cover charge, tho we hope that you consider a donation as you enter.
And be sure to contact your `ukulele-loving friends nd urge them to come out for this fun evening.
